Convenient but small issue

Booked a Compact car rental for a few days to get around while my car was in the shop. The delivery was right on time and the car was clean, which was great. The price seemed fair for the convenience of not having to go anywhere. My only minor gripe was that the phone charger in the car didn't seem to work, so I had to use my own portable one. Not a huge deal, but something to check. Pickup was quick and easy though.

How does Kyte compare to Turo? Is it much better or just different?

Kyte feels more like a traditional rental company but with the convenience of delivery. Turo is person-to-person, so it can be hit or miss depending on the owner. Kyte's cars are usually newer and professionally maintained.

Yes, they do one-way rentals! I used it from SF to LA once. Just choose the different pickup and drop-off locations when you're booking in the app.

July is summer vacation peak, so I'd book early for an SUV. They have a good fleet, but those popular times get snapped up fast. You might find better rates booking ahead too.

Anyone know if the first-time user discount works on a Tesla rental? Those are usually excluded from promos.

I used a referral code for my first rental, and it applied to a compact car. I think most first-time offers are pretty general, so it should work on a Tesla too, unless it specifically says otherwise. Worth a try!
